COA Summit County Freedom Trail Ride
Saturday, October 6 @ 11:00 am
We will start in Tallmadge, OH (near Kent, OH) Meet at HYPERLINK “https://www.summitmetroparks.org/freedom-trail.aspx” Middlebury Trailhead
1765 Northeast Ave., Tallmadge, OH, (corner of Middlebury Rd and Rt. 261) There should be plenty of parking. Porta-potty is at the trailhead and there are also restrooms at Lions Park ½ way through the trip.
15-20 mile ride (round trip) on paved, mostly wooded, path adjacent to abandoned railroad. Trail is rather new. We will ride on phase 2 and phase 3 of the trail which is complete, and then continue onto phase 1 as far as we can go till it stops, then return.
There are 3 or 4 busy roads to cross. Be extremely careful before deciding to cross as the cars are going fast and do not stop! Cars don’t seem to be as friendly south of Cleveland. Please be very careful at these intersections.
