COA Spring Bird Hike

April 7 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

COA Spring Bird Hike
Sunday, April 7
2:00 PM
Sandy Ridge Reservation
North Ridgeville, Lorain County

Leader: David w bird expert Becky

Join us as we welcome spring along with migrating and returning birds. As of mid-March there is an active Bald Eagle nest in the park. We are assured to spot at least one or two interesting winged creatures. If you have field glasses or a good camera be sure to bring along.

This will not be a fitness hike, but rather a nature exploration suitable for all. Terrain is flat, but boots are recommended due to damp ground. Dogs are not allowed in the park.

Sandy Ridge Reservation is a 310 acre wetland and wildlife preserve located in North Ridgeville. The park opened in 1999 and has quickly become a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts and one of the most popular parks for birding in Lorain County. The reservation lies on level, soggy ground flanked to the north and south by ancient beach ridges and consists of forests and open lands to explore.
