Black River Reservation Waterfall and Wildflowers Hike
April 29 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm
COA Black River Reservation Waterfall/Wildflower Hike
Sunday, April 29
Join us in search of waterfalls and wildflowers in Lorain County’s Black River Reservation.
We will walk approximately 4 to 5 miles out and back, largely on the paved Bridgeway Trail, with some diversions onto unpaved side trails along the Black River. This time of year usually sees wildflowers in the river floodplain. Hopefully some warmer weather and sun this week will have kick started them.
Dogs are welcome
Meet at the BUR OAK picnic area.
From 1-90 exit at Ohio 254 Avon/Sheffield (Exit 148)
Head north on Ohio 254 to Gulf Road. Turn left onto Gulf Road, then immediately turn right onto Ford Road. The picnic area will be on your right.
For park GPS location use 6150 Ford Road, Elyria Ohio. Note that this might not lead you directly to the picnic area. If you end up driving up the hill to the High Meadow picnic area you have gone too far.
